My 04 car just failed it's MOT on a broken rear spring. Had a suspicion due to that loose nut sound coming from the drivers side rear when I went over bumps. Fortunately I asked the dealer if BMW would consider making a good will payment as I've only done 27K from new. They did, paying 100% for part...

I'll have a look but I suspect I've thrown the paperwork. I think I just asked for the part at the BMW/Mini parts desk and they found the part for me..

Hi, I added an AUX connector to my business unit radio. Was pretty easy, took ~20mins to get the vent out to get to the radio then 10mins to add the connector and put back together. I used the thread here for info... http://www.z4-forum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=1483 . I actually used the m...

I tried to use the Blackcircles mobile service to fit my new PS2s but they were unable to as they were not set up to support RFT tyres. This meant that they could not get my old RFT tyres off, I had to take the car to the main depot to change the tyres. So I guess the answer to your question may dep...

I queried this with BMWinsurance last year at my renewal and their response was "tyres are a wear and tear item and I'm free to choose, they weren't interested". As with all things, I would suggest that it is best to ask/notify first - just in case they try to get difficult when in comes t...

You could also try Car Care Plan. They handle warranties for a number of big brands (see http://www.carcareplan.co.uk/companyoverview.htm ). They gave a very competitive 2 year quote for my 3 year old Z4. Unfortunately, there are no details of prices on their web site but they can be contacted on; 0...

Took the plunge and changed to PS2s this weekend. Ride is definitely less harsh, a good thing on the roads round here. Looking forward to some enthusiastic driving to really to get used to the PS2s. Quick question, what tyre pressures are you using on the PS2s (i.e. have you changed from the default...

Anyone bought / used a DICE Ipod unit?

Having looked at the options I think I prefer the DICE Ipod solution to the Dension, mainly because it appears easier to fit. I was wondering if anyone has any experience of ordering or using a DICE Ipod unit. All thoughts (well polite ones) gratefully received.

I have a mk3 Healey 3000 as well as the Z4. Main reason for buying the Z4 was due to the fact that it is the closest anyone has ever got to the spirit of the Healey 3000. I even think the Z4 has some of the Healey's looks - for me the Z4 is already a classic - time will tell if I'm right.

This is always the favourite part of my drive from Worcester to Oxford area - particularly as you can see how many people you can overtake on the climb (dual carriageway).

I've managed 11...

When was the car last serviced? I changed the oil on mine last month (after 2 years) and the improvement in throttle responsiveness was stunning. Usage of the sport button really does make a difference now. Makes sense though, since the Z4 throttle is fly-by-wire, the engine management system can ch...

I had this problem - it was due to the roof not fully opening - the roof would stop an inch high of the latch. You can push it down manually but clearly this is not acceptable. The problem was finally acknowledged by BMW in April 2005 and I was told a fix would be available soon. When it had not bee...
