Magnetic Stoneguards - the next generation
For some time now I have been finding it increasingly difficult to maintain production of magnetic stoneguards for forum members and have decided that it's time to pass on the reins to someone else. Where is the seat occupancy sensor located?
It's a pressure sensitive pad in the seat cushion
Kneeling on the seats had been cited as a cause of failure and replacement involves stripping the seat coverings.
Not a complicated but quite tedious job.

Be careful using wire in case you penetrate the rubber. It's safer to use eg the tube off a can of WD40 or similar then a quick blast with hose pipe when washing should keep it clear

Following several requests, I am producing a new batch of magnetic stone guards. They are slightly wider then the Mk I version to offer more protection to the rear arches. Re: Wind Deflector question
There should be two short straps (approx 2 inches) with male connectors that fit into the female in your picture.
The other end of the strap is a U-shaped metal hook the slides under the speaker trim panel to prevent the whole deflector from lifting off.

Brilliant piece of kit and do easy to use. You need a wheel to act as the pressure reservoir so unless you have a compressor or second vehicle a 12v compressor is also required.

Re: Which type of wind break?
For my money that OEM mesh type deflector is the most effective in doing what it says on the tin.
Aesthetically some prefer the perspex.
I've tried three variants but came back to the mesh in the end.
If you want one, mine is for sale now that the Z3 has gone.
