Key fob issues
Just had call from the boss, seems that both keyfobs will unlock the boot but not the car doors.
Doors will open manually (with key) but the petrol cap stays locked.
Anyone have any idea's what might be causing this ?
Edit: all seems to be working fine again - strange indeed.

Re: Mine Too
Just been into my local dealership for an engine fault and they found that my springs were broken too. Is this a common fault on Z4's? Yes its common - had mine replaced by an independant who told me is was a common problem on a number of cars - seems a manufacturer in 2002-2005 had an issue on mat...

Battlefied Bad Company supports multi play - so far have had 28 (14 on each team). Had issues some time ago with stuttering and replaced the wireless link with a wired one - PS3 to router - now as long as BT behave I have no issues. Seems PS3 wireless is quite poor performance. Works very well as a ...

What iPOD connection for 2003 Z4
I have a 2003 2.5si Z4 with standard business CD. I'd like to add an iPOD connection that will allow full control of the iPOD connected and allow playlists to be used. What options do I have on adaptors ?, not too bothered about cost. Should I change the head and amp to achieve this - if so what to ...

However when I tried to restart the car the engine made a clicking sound and the lights flashed on with a relay blinking the indicators and the engine did not respond at ...

Removing battery
My bluetooth hands free has locked up - seems that I need to disconnect power to reset it and the easiest way is to do this via the battery.
If I do this will it mess up the car in anyway ?
Or do I need to pull the dashboard apart to disconnect at the handsfree unit.

From what I remember you'll need the full kit including small amp for each speaker. The ouput of the basic HiFi is too low and all speakers have small amps behind them. If your serious about an upgrade might be better to get a professional to do it for you, add a seperate amp and replace all speaker...

For some reason I can't reset the clock to BST, using the instructions in the manual.
Seem to recall having to download instructions from somewhere but seem to have lost them.

Dented front wing
Sadly last Saturday some dishonest creep put a dent in my drivers side front wing, behind the wheel, about 8cm round and 1cm deep, but its right over the standard crease that runs along the car from the front wing. We had the local camera's checked but it was impossible to see who did it. So now nee...

Thanks everyone for your advice, all very helpful, including the MOT comments as I would have never considered that. So it looks like I'll need two sets made up, one normal and one show. I'm looking for the following "A1ABC" as my "show" set. Then "A1 ABC" for my "...

There is a locking mechanism for the roof at the top of the rear console that looks like it would open the top half of the console but it only locks the roof in place. The central part of the console opens from about half way down. It locks with the central locking - if it is this one and it does no...

Take care where you buy from. US push to talk (PTT) radio's do not work on the same bands (frequencies) as the Europe radio's. Thus mixing them does not work. There are a large range of different products and manufacturers. I've used the Motorola one's, good reliability, good batteries, good recepti...

Some good information here and thanks spokey for the feedback on the MicroFuzion. Based on using this in two cars its cost with accessories comes to around £190 with the GPS and detector. The new Snooper S6-6 Neo Plus is £269 (both GPS and detector) for fitting in two cars, but with twice the distan...
