Re: Shantybeater's Titanium S54 - BMWCar Mag+Xenon Retrofit

Looking great! Received my brackets today and can't wait to get started. Do you think it would give a smarter look if you put some aluminium foil behind the reflector, to match the high beam? I see you didn't plug the adjuster back in? The chrome trim needs to make way for the angel eyes, or do you ...

The only electric adjustment is manual from inside the car, i'm not sure how this differs from the US? Well, I have seen models with this little plug instead of the height adjuster, and the kit simply replaces this plug with a screw. Can't say for sure yet, but it seems you have to install the pivo...

Use caution when handling the chrome rings btw, the coating is paperthin, already trashed one of my rings.... :(

According to the ETK the same swaybar can be found in several e36 cars yes. Standard thickness for the front is 24mm, or 25mm for the ones with M sport suspension. So what you're probably looking for is a 28mm bar like the H&R ones. 15mm on the back btw, 19mm for the H&R version.

BTW, it doesn't come cheap like most parts from BMW, around 85 pounds.

This is how it looks like, note the ending of the long strip at the lower connector. It's wound up like a spool inside the plastic housing.

If it's coming from directly under your steering wheel, and can be best discribed as a grinding noise i guess, it's most likely the slipring inside. It's basicly a long strip of plastic that winds and unwinds when you turn the wheel. It dries out and causes friction between the layers, leading to sq...

There is only one (chinese) manufacturer of these lights, so it doesn't matter where u get them from, all the same.
Nobody knows the exact going rates for these lights yet, so sellers try to make a quick buck out of them. That explains the big difference in pricing.
