Drew, i hate to advise someone to buy mg, but with the demise of rover there are some very cheap mg out there at the moment, cheap top down motoring, alternatively cut the roof off the corsa and buy an umbrella :D

mine are from rochfords...no gripes from me other than the tacky plastic centres that were supplied, i just used the orignal centres typically you want 8 inch wide rims all round, but on a wide body you want 9 inch rims on the rear, the offset for a non ///M is ET38/40. tyres...either 225 front 245/...

I have always found that by 70,000 miles Boge dampers (as used for standard BMW suspension) have lost most of their gas filling, and the ride quality is rather joggly. i think you'll find a vacuum controlled butterfly valve in one of the twin pipes on all 2.8 engines....haven't looked on the zed but i definately had it on the 328 sport

8j on the front and 9j on the rear both with a 40 mm offset or as near as, "j" is the width of the rim but also (i could be wrong on this though) the profile of the rim lip.

well they dont actually boost power, they just don't sap power under acceleration, with a given load (static rpm) there would be zero difference between a light or heavy wheel, it is only under acceleration that it becomes significant

p.s. the name not zansi, it pansi...err i mean zanzi :roll:

The weight of ALL the moving parts in the drivetrain sap the engines power/torque (rotational and linear mass has a far greater effect than that of its static mass), therefore the lighter these parts are the quicker the car will accelerate, simple logic really.

thanks :D ...they were £820 inc delivery, front 8x18 et40 225/40, rear 9x18 et38 255/35, they are avons, pretty good although the rim protectors are worthless on these tyres. this wheel setup up is perfect for any wide bodied z3d, the ///m needs a radically different offset for the rears, et8 i beli...

FWIW, I had the ///M on a rolling road the other day. 255.7BHP at the wheels with a 31.9 Transmission loss makes just under 288BHP for what is supposed to be a 325BHP motor.
