The following is the legal rationale: The Road Vehicle Lighting Regulations 1989 regulate the situation in the UK. Under these Regulations, HID/Gas Discharge/Xenon headlamps are not mentioned Okay, makes sense as its still in place since 1989 and therefore they are not permitted according to the st...

Re: Xennon

I don't believe the claim to be EU approved, as this would require headlamp levelling and washing equipment. Incorrect nonsense Im afraid, having self levelling lamps and a washer system is only a pre-requesite for factory fitted xenon headlights. There is still no UK legislation enforced by VOSA t...

Keith,

the carbon fibre heatshield, should be turned around 180 degrees, the way that its mounted there, doesnt really utilise the heatshielding nature of the kit, since the open part of the shield is facing the nice warm engine.

Loosen the top metal clamp and give it a spin

The 328 m52 - M54 transition happened around the same time as the M3 S50 - S54 transition occured (hence, late ///M roadsters and coupes having the S54). I would say if your car is very late 99, then it may have the M54 lump.
But my money would be on it having the M52.
