yeh I saw that post, but couldn't decide if it was just a limitation of the USB interface.
Sounds like I'm stuffed. that's a pity - works a treat on X5. Pretty cool having all the stats in real time. I just assumed it would work with my my Ms. bummer.
cheers.

ODB on a 2000 M (UK)
Hi guys, just got a kiwi wifi ODB device to use with my iphone on my beemers. Works a treat on the X5 which has a regular OBDII socket. On the M, I got a 20-16 pin adapter off ebay, and this powers up the kiwi, and my iphone can connect to it (running Revs app) but can't get any data. Is it a list c...

Hi Stu, bit of confusion here, the thread relates to my 2.8 and not the ///M. The ///M would have no trouble, it's like sitting in a missile, I think that's what the M stands for - Missile. Gazza. ah. makes more sense. yeh, it is a bit... sort of WWII looking nazi missile :-) I like my 'tiger tank'...

As for the 2.8 remap, this really is an awesome mod on this engine, we have many uk records for this and the differences are night and day over stock mapping. I went for a spin on the A13 Saturday evening after washing the car, top down, feeling good and behind me appeared an X5 4.4 pushing slightl...

Are you saying the viscous fan must be engaged by its clutch to cool the engine when the car is moving, but the electric fan does not? Or are you saying that the small trickle of engine power into a viscous fan turning at the low speed it does when not cooling the engine is in fact 6-8BHP? Th e fan...

In an unmodified car when the car is moving and the engine is being cooled by airflow that same airflow turns the viscous fan so it is not drawing power from the engine. . The airflow doesn't turn the fan (if it did it would be pointless). a viscous coupling fan takes power from the engine through ...

I wouldn't go to BMW even if it was cheaper personally. Forget your BMW warranty and get a 3rd party one, then you''ll be free. As David says, these are absolutely totally useless if you want to actually use your ipod. If you can be bothered setting up playlists all the time and have a maximum of 5 or 6 playlists, great. Personally I thought that defeated the whole point. I wanted to have my whole music collection in the car...

Rather regretting buying the car now, at this rate it would have been cheaper to buy a TVR and suffer the relatively inexpensive niggles that are associated with them. cough cough. having parted with a Red Rose TVR Tuscan to get my MZ3, I'd have to disagree with the relatively inexpensive bit. well, usually you'd use a 4 channel amp. the mids/tweets sit on a pair of channels as they come off the amp, into the crossover then out to speakers. clutch pedal position
Guys, my clutch pedal is too high and too far to right.. I can hardly fit my foot behind it to clutch rest.
It seems to be made out of fibreglass, so bending it isn't an option.
Does anyone know if its mounting point is adjustable at all ?
