Re: z3 2.2ltr 2001
I had one too individual edition in Sapphire Black with Red hood. Recently part exchanged it after 10 years. Cracking car which I've missed it since. I recall Parker's review at the time of my purchase said it was arguably the best of class/range as it had the straight 6 engine which meant it was mo...

Hi all, having sold the Zed, I now have the following items available for sale. I've been getting a few PMs re pricing from different members so thought I'd put them all up here. I believe the prices are in line with recently sold similar items on the forum however as I no longer have the Zed there'...

Great work, must be very rewarding & the car looks great!
I can vouch for Soft Tops in Croydon. I used them to replace the rear plastic screen a couple of years ago when my original one split.

Rob/Conor; Thank you for the kind words. I've tried to hold on to the Zed for as long as possible & have thoroughly enjoyed owning it - it's been a member of the family, however my work location has changed for the last couple of years and I now commute to work with the Zed, approx. 50m a day so...

Hello all, Long term member here, from 2005 though I haven't been on here for a long while due to other interests, mainly my now 4 year old little one. After 10.5 years of absolutely brilliant motoring & many happy memories time has unfortunately come to part with the Zed so I thought I'd give t...

Re: Anyone had a replacement roof fitted?
So finally booked the car in with Soft Tops in Croydon last Friday and got the rear plastic screen replaced for £125 all in. Took just over an hour to replace and I can finally see out the rear window again. Took longer to get there and back (nearly 4 hours for a 40-odd mile return trip through Lond...

Re: Anyone had a replacement roof fitted?
So decided after nearly 6 months to book the Zed in for a hood replacement seeing Autumn is coming up and what happens? - Soft Tops in Croydon don't do them in red, only black or blue at £350 all in but I want red, mine's a special edition with red hood so I'd like to keep it original colour combo. ...

Mine is 2.2i special/limited edition and is marked with "individual" inside the engine bay area if I recall correctly.

Thanks for the feedback - that really does throw the cat amongst the pigeons! Do I go for just a new window at £125-145 and keep the same roof or pay the extra £200-250 and get a brand new roof? Decisions, decisions! I was in the same position as you 18 months ago and decide on a new roof, glad I d...

Re: People with angel eyes
As its both rings in both lights it does sound like the inverters have failed. You can buy replacements at a reasonable price so it would be sensible to replace these first and see if that cures the problem. Thanks. So any idea where the inverter for the passenger side headlight might be located an...

To the guys who've had a replacement roof (wonderloaf, VinceR and mrh1); Did the prices you paid (£400, £450 & £250 respectively) for the roofs include the rear plastic window or was it just the roof material? Reason I ask is my rear window split 2/3 weeks ago & I have yet to replace it (I s...
