Interesting to know, depending on price. I did bid on that red one on CC, but wasn't prepared to pay £35k for it.

Thanks! That's really helpful.

I am always considering it having always regretted selling my last one, but prices spiked just after I sold mine and are usually unjustifiable. This one caught my eye due to the potential price advantage.

Yes. Mrs RT is less keen. Not less keen on a Z1. Just less keen on any "superfluous" motorcar.

But I am still recovering from the unpleasant shock of having sold mine not terribly long before they suddenly added about 50% in value, which doesn't help the man maths.

Just took the Z1 for its MOT and was told that there is an advisory for a 'slightly buckled wheel'. Clearly it didn't fail on it, so it should be reasonably safe. However, not knowing much about wheels I have to ask a couple of naïve questions: 1) Can it be regarded as safe? 2) Can it be repaired? ...

Why not just buy a RHD one over here and drive around down there on Brit plates? Let's face it, having the steering wheel on the "wrong" side is usually only an issue when driving a slow car, which is not an accusation you can level at any M BMW. And if we can all cope with LHD over here, ...

With the caveat that my Z1 proved remarkably easy to sell without actually ever advertising it other than on here, I've always taken the view that Z1s are a tricky re-sale prospect (although perhaps not in France) so not a car I'd take on as a short term prospect. Plus the Z1 is one of those cars wh...
