After many enjoyable years of owning the Z3, I have decided to have a change of car, therefore I will be saying goodbye to a forum that has been informative, humorous and enjoyable. It is a straight forward diy job, if you search the knowledge base there is a very good photographic description of the removal of the old unit & installation of its replacement, it took me about 45 mins to complete, 20 of those sorting out the electrical connection

Re: Stalling issue on my new Z3

Hi, I had similar problems in my 3.0 auto, turned out to be the inlet cam sensor. Its a tad awkward when it cuts out as you are coming out of a roundabout onto a dual carriageway, no engine, no power steering & you cant dip the clutch & restart the engine. Never a dull day in the life of a Z.

Re: Hard top on yet?

Fitted mine last weekend, as I had to install the fitting kit as well, all seems ok except for creaks & groans, (from the car as well :) ), from reading various posts this may be due to the top sitting down too close to the rear bodywork, i will have to have a play at the weekend to resolve this

Hi
I have a slight problem in that I cannot open the bonnet of my Z3, when I pull the lever in the footwell there is little to no resistance, therefore I suspect the cable has broken or the connection linkage broke. Is there a straightforward method of opening the bonnet in this situation.
