clutch rating

Hi all,

Does anyone know what the BHP/torque rating of the 3.0 clutch is......need to know if it needs uprating or not........heh heh heh :shock:

Paul, Looking on my wiring diagrams, the ABS Contol Module earth point is X170, the Wiper Motor earth point is X9633. Both share the same earth stud in the LH Footwell near the speaker. The Heater Fan earth point is X166, this is located in the engine bay, LH wing just behind the LH headlamp unit. A...

I think the offending sensor costs in the region of $100, will have to have another look on realoem.

I will have a chat with my local indie and see if it fall under the BMW warranty I still have on the car.

hi all,

Anyone tell me where i can find the engine number on a 2000 3.0 Z3 ?

I need it for the insurance company for declaring my mods and all I can find is the plate with the chassis number on it in the engine bay....or is that the engine number and I am getting confused ??

I am planning a little project with Ed and I need some info if possible. Is there anyone with a butt strut who could, or is willing to tell me what the overall length of the strut is and also the full length, end to end, of the supplied custom fastener.

Hiya calbens,

I do 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off rotating shift from 7am to 7 pm/7pm to 7am......mostly drive on the M61/M60 but when thats chokka I nip on the M6 upto J22. It's a few miles more to drive but hey.....top down and off we go..I'm sure we'll see each other sometime and I promise to wave :P

13.5 degrees....intermittent sun.....19:00 hrs.....drive home from Manchester Airport on the M6.....top down.....heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 8-) .......saw 2 Z4's and a Porsche with the tops up :shock:....so i turned the cd up and chilled to Aerosmith...... :mrgreen:

I can do 11th June or 16th July. They are the only dates my shift plan allows!! Any of the routes suits me.
If you need any help checking out the routes give me a shout as I do a 2 day, 2 night, 4 off shift and could run about on my 4 off.

Hi,
I just had my passenger side replaced at the dealers because they bent it! :shock: They replaced the complete plastic trim and strip. It's only a couple of screws. I think it cost about £58 but don't quote me on that. :D

Mike, I have headlamp washers fitted. Wiring things in isn't a problem as I'm an Avionics Engineer :D Have read on a German forum that some 3.0 have an oil temp sensor installed next to the oil pressure sensor and you can splice in and lift the signal from there. Sump Plug Thread Size

Hi all, I am looking to fit a VDO temp sender to the sump of Ed, 3.0 Z3. The thread sizes of the sensor range from 5/8 UNF, 1/8 NPT, M10 x 1 and M14 x 1:5. Anyone know which size is correct ?. I've done a search but cannot find anything specific. :dunce: Help from the clever ones would be appreciate...

Hi Martin,

Got my 3.0i on Tuesday. Can't fault it. Amazingly the normal shopping route to Tesco seems be a good 6 miles longer now as driving down the backroads is so much fun :lol:

Ed the zed won't fit in my garage :head: so has to stay on the driveway. Can I ask what security measures other members take to protect their loved one? I already have CCTV and was looking at a Bulldog security post.
