It's been a while

Hi everyone, It's been a while since I put my Z in hibernation, but she's now out of storage and I'm getting her back out on the road. Having looked through the posts on the forum since I left I can see there's been some new additions to the ranks, hi to you all and I hope that you're enjoying being...

Keeping the reliability of such reports aside (these threads do pop up a lot, let's face it), the idea of a new softop - and lighter weight than average - BMW roadster has caught my attention. If only they'd plan on making an inline 6 pot engine for it, that would be the icing on the cake for me.

Have you tried "T-cut" polish? It used to be good at getting out minor scratches in paintwork. It used to be in common use but it really does more damage than it repairs. Try Autoglym Super Resin Polish as it contains abrasives that breakdown in size as you rub it in leading to a much smo...

1. The timing chain doesn't require replacement normally, unlike cam belts on other engines. I say normally as it's not on any service sheets and the only time you'd consider it is if the current chain is diagnosed as being faulty or damaged by unforeseen circumstances.
