Re: Z4 concept car

This is the Z4 concept car which was on display in August. How much of that will translate to the next iteration of the Z4, which is probably scheduled for next year, who can say? I should imagine the Z4 will undergo a pretty significant change before becoming a mass production car!

Hello Geoff

thanks for the message - not had a chance to do it yet unfortunately. I really need to do it soon as it's quite bad now, but we work weekends as well so finding some time is quite difficult. Can I ask how long it too, please?

Re: seat bushes advice/help please

Great, thanks for that - I wonder if that's how I did the wiring as I can't think how I could have reached with the seat out of the car. I've been trying to visualise myself doing it but I just can't! I did leave as much wire on both looms as I could, in case anything had to be changed. The wiring h...

Re: seat bushes advice/help please

Hello Alec I'm sure you're right! Once I made sense of the photo showing the old bushes it did make sense. One of the reasons (apart from price, if it takes them time because it's all new to them) I didn't want to use the garage is that when I put my sports seats in they were from a 1998 M and my cu...

Hello Alec thanks for your reply - I did print out the thread and gave it to him- I think that's what put him off! I asked my garage, too - they said they'd never done any seat bushes and didn't seem particularly enthusiastic. I was surprised as they do a lot of BMW work and I think the passenger se...

seat bushes advice/help please

Hello everyone I was wondering if there were still any members in my area (Herts/Beds/Cambs) with experience of changing the seat bushes. I've bought seat bushes from aceman and I really need to get them on now as my seat, at least, is now rocking quite significantly. I have the instructions but my ...

Hello Robert yes it is my usual indie garage - they have said they haven't done the bushes before. I've had cable ties round mine for a long time Pingu but every time the garage, RAC, OH moving the car etc moves my seat much, it still happens. replacement connectors for seat loom

Has anyone ever managed to obtain connectors to connect from the seat to the main harness, where the replacement seats are from a different year (1998) to the car (2001)? About 9 years ago I replaced my 2001 seats with heated sports seats from a 1998 Z3M. As the connectors were not compatible, I spl...

Well my zed went in for its MOT yesterday. This time they picked up on the DSC and brake lights - it's either the CU which controls the sensors or a loose connection - which they let go last year, so that has to be done. Praying for a loose connection! The front tyres were changed and balanced and t...

I haven't got any mould, inside or out - I suppose there could be something between the hood and the lining but it doesn't smell inside the car. The only thing that was visible was the algae. How odd, no notification! No; I've cleaned the algae with Milton, waiting for next sunny day to clean with the BMW cleaner, then wanted to dye and then proof. Mine has been outside all winter due to far too much junk in the garage and I haven't driven it much as I broke my wrist and hand at the end of Aug; even now it's painful when I turn a corner. So that could well be the cause.

I think you may be changing those front tyres sooner than you think. I had Asy1s and 100% agree with C_W, a truly excellent tyre. Problem is they no longer do them in the rear (245/40/17) size so when it came time to change had to go with Asy2. Asy2 on the back and Asy1s on the front does not work ...

I'm using Goodyear Eagle LS2 - the all season ones. I think if you're using the same tyres year round it's the way to go.
