evening all, after inspecting my z3 this afternoon i noticed that bubbling and rust had appeared on the front and rear of both side skirts. after spending a couple of hours removing all the bolts from underneath the side skirt, pulling the panel off from the side sill (the one which says 'roadster')...

the pilot exalto's on that site steve wont be right for my set up '225/50/16'

unfortunatly i couldnt find any of the Asymmetrics for that size either so ive bought the GSD3's.

£7750!!! unberlievable price, i honestly think you should just hold out conor at £8000 at least!

these cars are going to be hot potatoe in june/july and the prices usually rise also.

i was speaking to a mechanic there and he said that he has looked at alot of ///M vanos's when we came on the subject of vanos failure, he said he'd never had one that had failed, just running noisy.

this car labelled the 'Z10' is the BMW 'CS', which was shown at the Shanghai motor show a few months ago.

the vanos was replaced at 31,000 miles (barely 'running in' phase for a BMW) and then 17,000 miles with a new vanos unit (just over half of its original life to the previous unit).

cheers for the replies people, fingers crossed its the cam shaft sensor. this of course would make sense for the faults ive been experiencing.

i didnt think the vanos was a problem on the 2.0 z3's??

i had the same problem lamoroma a few weeks ago, and it seems to have cured itself.

i still dont think its performing like it did when i first got it, but maybe thats me just getting used to the speed/power.

i have the Poorboys 'leather stuff' and without applying another product to the seats i couldnt compare how good it is, but it does seem to be cleaning and softening the leather.

i do have a peg as far as i know, but i dont have a radio mounting bracket, i just have the hollow rectangle cage. there was a sony headunit which came with the car, so im guessing that the anti theft switch would have been de-activated before, and the car alarm has only just started to give me prob...
