i feel for you buddy, this is the first thing im doing when i get my zed..

reinforce the subframe, i might even do the randy forbes kit install, depending on how much it will cost for the parts from him, plus the dual lugged diff cover.

i did a check through pistonheads, just for the added cover they give.

but dont say nothing about the catD details, it just says its a catD, as far as i know, there isnt a way to find this infomation out.

anyway, ill keep saving & looking, i was originally after a 2.8, but stumbled on the above.

i think i might have just solved my problem. http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/6252.html i can fit dual morel 6.5" 8ohm into each door, wire them for a 4ohm load, & run oldschool us amps to get the power to run them. ill tell you what i did with my E36. i had cut the kick...

think i understand now, like i could use MDF 6.5" speaker ring & screw it into place then speaker ontop, but is there enough space with the plastic cover on? so the exursion of the speaker dont touch the inside of the cover?

im trying to understand how it was done, as the surface isnt very flush/level, if you understand what im trying to say.

borrowed a pictue from this site..

cut the red square out & weld metal inplace with 6.5" hole?

as title says, im going to look at a couple of Z3 2.8`s & worry about the subframe troubles, but when i find a clean one, im wanting to strengthen to prevent it from happening.

is there any kits i can buy in the uk?
