I run 18's and have to say get no tram lining unless on a really poor roads with feathered edges and that would pull any car.
As mentioned above i moved 17 -18's any found no difference at all.

Swap the cable my 2.8 had a heavy accelerator pedal i swapped the cable and it has made the world of difference,mine wasn't snagging but it was just tight.But for the sake of approx £10 it wasn't worth fiddling with :) :)

Is it metallic and if so have you lacquered it?? A good way to see if the colour is right is now the paints dry, wet it and see what colour it goes as it's likely to change colour when lacquered/ wet. Any opinions ok by me :D :D :D I've yet to paint them the correct colour and give them a shine, they are only painted a rough silver at the moment which makes them a little stand off ish at the moment. I'll post pics when i have them in colour finished properly hopefully towards the end of the week.

I found the same problem but when i changed the centre console i found that the wires extend from the front so you can just unravel the black banding and pull them back. :) :)

Mine did the same a while back one touch down packed up and one touch up was fine. After the ignition was switched on and off it then appeared to work again???? Not really found the cause sorry but they can be temperamental so it would seem.

Loss of power like you describe on a zed can sometimes attributed to the cam sensor.Does the car start ok i.e first turn of the key.Maybe some of the guys that have had this problem may be able to shed a bit more light.

I can vouch for the fact it's the slip ring i've just replaced my steering wheel and the old one was heavily coated in a graphite grease so at some point my car must have had this problem but the grease had removed the sound completely.

Normally if you heat the badge with a hair dryer it will soften the adhesive and it will come of fairly easily if you feel the need to remove. :) :)

Are you sure it's not the disc back plate on the disc that would create a grinding.If the disc aren't held by there usually fixings with the wheels loose the friction may not be there,it may be worth a look??

Same as mine, that it the alarm siren key my alarm fob is the same as the one i linked too on ebay, they can be programmed to the car.Couple of the guys have just had them reprogrammed by indies for a reasonable cost at least you'd gain remote locking and an alarm :) :)

You'll not be able to arm/disarm the alarm with out the key fob you may be able to get a second hand one and there's been a few threads lately about programming them to the alarm module in the car.

The early zed had a fob like this......HERE

The siren will be under the bonnet and the key will turn the siren off.Not sure where the siren is on a 1.9 but i'm sure someone can point you in the right direction.

The staggered set up was an optional set up on the 2.8 i'm not sure if the star alloys came staggered and if they do i've not seen any.

The carpets may feel dry to the touch but the carpet in the Zed has all the sound deadening moulded too it and this is what holds the water if you put you seat upright and fully back you can find the velcro joint and have a feel underneath too check.

Your pretensioner will give you an air bag light if not connected the electric seats won't matter though.You could possible unbolt the pretentioner from the seat so you can also leave that in the car as well so you can confirm fix without the seat in. It shouldn't cause any issues it's just looking ...

The ports in question are only there if you have factory roll bars.If not remove the middle of the storage bin and you'll get in fine if not remove the tops of the rear panels the bits that cover the seatbelts and you'll get access, it's only a few screws.

I had 452's on the rear when i brought the Zed having changed the wheels and inherited the tires that came with them,i wouldn't think twice about going back to the falkens when renewal time comes good price and a quality tyre in my opinion.
