Hi Desiro.

I think mine was thrashed around Huddersfield without it been warmed up I used to work at a Indie Lotus garage with the bloke who did the oil change I took it back immediately and they didn't have a clue. Suffice to say the car never went to that place again..

Thankyou Sharon.

I cannot make my mind up head says controll unit but the machine is pointing to a sticking valve. I would like to think that the ABS pump would be reliable and not fail so easy.

Abs 084 Fault

Hi all

MOT due Saturday and now i have a fault on the ABS.

Fault indicating to a rear valve on the abs pump will this be the pump or perhaps dodgy controll unit? Anybody had this and what did you do?

accelerator cable fitted

Blimey what a transformation!

Takes 3/4 hr. Only pain is getting the clip to come away from where it locates in the fire wall, brute force required here.

I honestly couldn't belive the difference this makes if you haven't checked yours S50 owners i would do.. NOW

Anybody done this? Mine has to be replaced not even getting 3/4 travel on throttle bodies.

Stretched like hell and at full adjustment at present.

Hi Guys, just had my Z3M renewal reminder from Footman James for a comprehensive policy. £374, not too bad me thinks, only downside limited to 3,000 miles per year. Its on a classic car policy for a 39 year old guy. I Thought the car had to be at least 15 years old to qualify for Classic car status...

No Diff bracket failure , just Spot welds that for 1 were not up to the job in the first place, so where you get this Diff bracket failure causing spot welds to fail is rubbish or else my Diff bracket should be shot.

Hi Soma No mate, i did ask about the integrity of it and it didn't concern him. I think that the problem lies with the spot welds so that has been sorted/eradicated so i think the rest should take care of itself to be honest. I will be keeping an eye on the repair but to be honest Lez knows his stuf...

Should fit with no adverse affects to idle or create flat spots. Try disconnecting the MAF sensor as well to rule that out (I'm assuming you fitted the small breather filter) Yes small breather fitted i think i will have done something daft when i look at it again like put the MAF the wrong way aro...

Calling all Simota Users

I have just fitted a simota unit and i have a terrible idle now 500rpm and as lumpy as hell the motor does stall and throttle response very poor (presume due to idle speed)

Is this just a case of dialing in a idle rpm or was yours ready from the off?

Soma The viscous coupling is the center part of the large fan to cool the engine radiator I have had 2 of these so far and believe me you will know if it becomes locked in. If it is a fan belt then make sure it is under the correct tension or remove it just to make sure a fan belt that is nottension...

If its the vanos they tend to growl or become noisey like a diesel engine.

I suspect your viscous coupling has become locked in.

Be very carefull it is known they can take the radiator out if the fan blades shatter in a worse case scenario, they are not designed to work at high rpm.

Mine is going up to the same place as Corky had his repair done this Saturday for an inspection.

I have noticed 3 welds failed so far i have been told to keep costs down to free off the back box's as this can take up to 2 hours to do and looking at C£300.00 all in

It will be a proper job too.
