Re: Z3 M parts clear-out *** EVERYTHING REDUCED ***

Hi mate,

Do you still have the roof?

If so I'd be interested, just would like to see a few pictures of the rear around the window.

If you let me know where about you are I might be able to collect and pay cash.

Thanks,

Al

Phoned the fuzz to speak with an traffic officer and he said as long as the HID kit is 'EU' marked then it is legal. Levelling as washers are only required or Xeon lamps.

Sliding seat UK source

Hi guys,

Been trying to find either an UK source or dimensions and material type to make my own.

Any body know?

Searched the forum and I can only find providers state side.

Thanks all,

The kit comes with a new rear lid and compartment as it is reduced in size. When I upgraded mine I found the most expensive part was actually the mounts for chasis and not the plastic covers themselves.

If you want some parts to 'test' on I have the old non-roll hoop parts still.

Hi Robin, There are two, one on the brake pedal. If your break lights work then this is OK. The other is mounted on the left hand side of the car. If you go into the boot, turn the handle on the pump which is the hydraulics for the soft top this will allow you move it up and down freely. Now disenga...

Replacing speed sensor

I found that my digital speed, trip, etc. were always out. Most times I would be doing 50+MPH and the speed on my digital clock would read 5-25MPH. The speed on my cluster was fine. Below is the location of the sensor, this is on the rear of the differential: http://i796.photobucket.com/albums/yy248...

If it is the base then this can be tightened from the inside behind the door panel (just remove it, there is an KB article on how to do that). If it is the outer case then remove the glass and undo the screws behind, that will remove the outer cover and you can adjust it. If neither of those cover t...

The pads just sit on metal supports. They slide on and off, depends how old they are and how much dirty will depend how hard they are to take off but pulling down and rotating will get them off.

My engine sounds quite 'flat' compared to some other Z's I've heard, now I just heard a 2.2 go past, it was a face lifted model but it sounded completely different.

Does anyone have any idea what I am raving on about? :o

Two questions really:

1) are the air bag systems, like the one I currently have universal and fit the new wheel if it is dual stage.

2) if I did fit it and it wasn't compatible is there anyway to make it failover to a single stage.

Thanks,

Steering wheel question

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if this wheel will fit a 1997 Z3?

BMW have said they don't list it, however the steering collum is the same as the 2000 REG it is coming off. The only difference is the lock and ignition position.

Idle

I appear to be having one of those months... :-(

My car now seems to fluctuate when idling, regardless if in neutral or putting the clutch down at low revs.

Doesn't seem to change regardless of length driving. Someone has said to me it is the cyclone valve.

Any ideas at all guys?

Thanks,
