very true. but if you're running a budget and arent fussed about dying or spending ages fitting something without instructions then there you go :)

im confused by the above by "post 1998" and "non retro" - does it mean the first list for post-98 and the second list for pre-98?

Re: Metal

Perhaps those who think that sanding a car back to the bare metal is a sign of a good job should consider that the Z3 is built from zinc-coated steel, and that use of an abrasive to get back to the metal will cause irrepairable damage to this protective layer. sounds like a pro talking but about th...

£1700 sounds like a proper strip & spray if you ask me. but make sure you clarify with them what detail they go to for that price. otherwise - if you dont mind the heartbreak, buy a belt sander and a couple pints of paint stripper and go to town on the car before you drop it off

that's quite reasonable. big question though is do they do a "proper job" - ie remove panels to reach hard to get to places? or do they spray under the bonnet... i'd imagine they won't be doing the engine bay for that price?

Hey old thread but just a note - Admiral, Elephant and Bell are all run through the same parent company. So with a couple quid margin, their prices will always be the same across them. So when you pick a company you're picking the "added extras" really. But all I'd say are great, low price...
