Re: Z4M vs Z3M
I owned an S54 Z3 and stupidly sold it a few years back and now have an S54 Z4 as the latter was much cheaper . The Z4 is really a much better roadster all round in terms of handling ,comfort although I only use them as weekend toys ,so can't comment as daily drivers . I also like the modern look of...

Re: Stiffness of Z3M clutch pedal versus Z4M
I've owned Z3 and Z4 both S54 variants and can testify that clutch is if anything stiffer on Z4 . I also suffer from severe osteoarthritis of both knees and get by taking Arcoxia 60mg as required .

Re: Had a Z3 and now thinking about a Z4
I still rather like the classic retro looks of the Z3 but the Z4 is simply a better car all round IMHO

iI'e got a well sorted S54 Z3M with DSC and have driven the Z4 3 litre and in terms of an every day drivers car the Z4 wipes the floor with the Z3M IMHO -i can drive thru twisy bits in the Z4 at speeds with confidence that i wouldn't even dare to do in my Z3M -and in terms of useable speed on the ro...

i had 4.6 wedge and it scared me to death and cost me a fortune to keep on the road But i agree that a Z3M is the closest thing to a Griff in concept and it looks great too [but not a sexy as a Griff ] Actually id go for Z4 3.0 as when i tested one recently the handling was night and day cf to my Z3...

with regard to the confidence issue of the Z4 v Z3 -ok the latter does indeed have a bit of reputation -in the same way that a Griff does as being a bit of a hnadful and not to be messed with But nonetheless the confidence with the Z4 for me stems from the feel it gives me and the communication i ge...
