Oh believe me i have tried, It can get in on an immigrant category and would be GST free. However I would HAVE to be in the country when it lands, I am going to South Africa first for two months and even getting a slow boat would result in bonded storae fees of $100 a day.....I have looked into EVER...

It was going to be the plan to take it with - It would have been about £2000, with similar age zeds being about £8000 it would have been worth while, however their certification of what they will allow in to the counrty is SO strict and such a mission, from what I have found out only the dual airbag...

BMW Z3 2.8 '97 56k Emigrating - a stunning loved car! £4399
I am having to sell my much loved Z3 as I am moving to New Zealand. It is a garaged R reg '97 2.8 with only 56k on the clock (6 cyl so the 'wide body' as some say) A loved and spotlessly clean car, it has 18" Alpina style wheels (Avon ZZ3 with loads of tread) , modern clear indicators, TONS of ...

Time to leave :-( an idea on asking price?
Well, after toying with the idea of taking my zed with to New Zealand I have come to the conclusion it will just be another headache....although money wise even after £2k shipping it would have still been less than buying one there!! It is a garaged R reg '97 2.8 with only 56k on the clock A loved a...

Its 50/50, you can find pics with it either way around, for suitcases, they all seem to be your (and my) way round, and for skis, the other way round - honestly - I think you can use them in both configurations depending on what you carrym the official BMW accessory catalogue has them both ways. Per...

2.8 intake manifold mod .....for sale
I bought this from a breaker, I am not actually sure if it is the right one to do the mod, somebody on here will know I'm sure. The size is exactly the same as the stock, and has the much larger intakes for the better flowing. Hopefully it will be usefull to somebody - its for sale so any offers. (m...

From what I know the guage is not linear - it will sit at halfway and only go above this when the temperature really gets hot (this kinda makes it as much use as a temperature warning light like in new cars) I believe the manufacurers do this to not worry people if it goes a little over halfway. Not...

I am moving to Auckland at the end of the year and am still toying with the idea of bringing my Zed with...mainly as I would miss it so much and also the price of cars there....I reckon $18000 compared to the £4500 I would get here makes it seem worth the cos...

I think 'dont touch it' is a bit harsh! There is nothing wrong with it - its a badge and the guy probably doesnt know. I Say made up - the badge looks decidedly 'non BMW' and there is nothing special about it?? Prada interior? - we call it BMW sports seats. I would also be unsure of the alloys you are getting - text says 5 spoke, in the TINY first picture they are but in the larger ones following they are multi-spok...

lol, thats nasty! Not sure on the 2.8 but I am thinking it will be pretty bulletproof - the specific output for the capacity is the lowest of the Z3 I think - it is a lazy engine and not stressed so as long as it is well maintained.... My 318iS in South Africa with the M44 1.9 16 valave nearly did 3...

Unless you are really anal, it will get wear and tear, its a car and is meant to be used and I guess thats why the window zips in for replacement - a polish every 6 months with 'super resin polish' sorts it out.
