Hey Howi, I used to live near you, in West Chiltington, before I moved to Norfolk. My band 'Cut Loose!' played many gigs in The Hen and Chicken up to 2012. Did you ever get to see us? :cheers Bonzo. I'm afaid i missed that treat Bonzo, I've seen Bono and his band quite a few times, but not within w...

Re: BMW Z3 3.0 W Reg £5750
Thanks guys, I've seen some silly prices around, hoping this isn't unreasonable. Still turns heads as a 16 year old car. Daughters aren't happy, it's the only thing that's cool about their Dad.

And you were dead right, just popped it back it in and the seat works fine now.Brian H wrote:The spindles have squared ends, it just sounds as if the far one has popped out.
Even managed to get the car back to the garage this morning and the car has now passed for another year.
Thanks Brian.

Thanks Brian, I'll try a bit of gentle manipulation tomorrow.
The seat currently jams as it only moves forward on the right handside.

Failed MOT, unbelievable......
My Z3 has failed it's MOT and is therefore deemed unroadworthy because............. the driver seat doesn't move backwards and forwards. As I discovered when I looked this up, it is a new regulation this year, if you have an electric seat it has to work. So I now have to fix the seat, have the car r...

Goodwood Moving Motorshow/Festival of Speed free tickets?
Has anybody seen any free tickets for Goodwood this year. I usually get free tickets courtesy of the Times Online but they don't seem to be sponsoring this year.

I know it's very last minute but can you put me down as a maybe.
I'm on standby so can't guarantee I won't be called out overnight, but if available I'll join the back of the cruise in Wisborough Green, I'll probably wait outside the Three Crowns pub. No lunch required. Hope to see you all tomorrow.

Window blanket puts fluff on the roof
As per the title, I used my new window blanket and it has deposited fine threads all over the rear of the roof. I washed it, but this has made no difference. :head: Does anybody else have this issue, as i've now got to vacuum the roof to get rid of it! I assumed the soft side went against the window...

Wanted Z3 CD Changer
Does anyone have a working CD changer from a Z3 they would like to
sell me. The bracket would be handy to.
I have already acquired the head unit from ebay, but haven't found a
changer I know will fit/work in a Z3. There are so many available!
Thanks for looking.

Wow, looks fantastic, a credit to you, well done, any mods your planning? In fact quite the opposite. I would like to put the car back to a more original specification. Firstly the stereo with all its flashing lights and buttons looks a bit out place to me. I prefer the look of the simplistic origi...

Interior looks good too, what did you use on the plastics? The interior plastics were cleaned with Megs APC 10/1 dilution. Then dressed with 303 Aerospace protectant. Leather was cleaned and treated with the Gliptone twins. And thanks to everyone for their comments, it's good to know my hardwork is...

Finally took the plunge, two weeks of detailing later.......
After 4 months of disappointment and frustrations of mis-described cars, I finally bought the car below. It needed an Insp II, brake fluid and coolant change and another key but all in for 8K, i think its an absolute bargain! I've also detailed it (as you may notice). Two days of machine polishing i...

Are aftermarket copy alloys inferior to OEM parts?
I am going to view a Z3 tommorrow with 18" Alpina style wheels, they look great but I wondered whether my concerns about the alloys
being of inferior quality are justified?

Well as it turned out the car had a few issues: The shut lines on the front bumper weren't right. The passenger door lock was broken and kept clicking. The 6 CD changer didn't work. The rear tyres were near the limit. The drivers window motor was clicking, normally a sign its about to die. and the c...

Z3 8 spoke 16" alloy replacement
I'm going to look at a 3.0 on an X plate, which looks great apart from having 16" 8 spoke wheels. Any of the other options available at the time I feel make the car look better. Ideally I would like the multi spoke 17" without the bolts. Do BMW stock sets of alloys for 8 year old cars, or ...

Thanks guys for all your responses. I've moved away from the M3 for a number of reasons. Most of the roads I travel on have been reduced from 60 to 40 mph and an M3 at 40 mph is a waste. I've never really fancied taking the car on a track, so I decided to come back to a car I can enjoy at any speed,...

As an ex-car valeter/detailer I always recommend Gliptones Liquid leather cleaner/conditioner. They aren't the cheapest products in the world but they do an excellent job and leave your leather smelling new. New and in the market for a 2.8 Z3
Hi I'm new here, I found the site whilst throwing searches at Google looking for Z3s' for sale. I've had both a 1.9 and 2.8 in the past but switched to an M3 4 years ago following the arrival of a second child. That has now been sold, so I'm looking for a top spec 2.8 or possibly 2.2. The trouble I ...
