Well they found the problem with the gears now, but said they think it may be the clutch plate. they checked the oil and everything fine there.

Unforunately it isn't under warranty.

Well, car went into the garage and they checked evrything and can't find the problem. They have sent a query to technical BMW, they think it may be the clutch, but not sure.

Will keep you updated when the car goes back in.

Personally I don't like that look, but everyone's taste is different. I have had a small problem with putting the car into first and second gear when it is cold. I am going to book it in to BMW next week. If they fix the problem I will let you know.

Thanks, been told it is a faulty sensor and they have ordered a new one. All under the warranty. The BMW garage in the Isle of Man is really good and even cleaned my car before I picked it up.

Yeah haven't really cleaned it yet but was jet washing the wheels yesterday as a few birds decided to relieve themselves above my car. Lots of little gaps in them will be a bugger to clean with the little brush wonder wheels supply with there bottle.

I have just put a deposit on a Z4 Alpina Roadster S and picking it up on monday.

Any advice on what problems to look for would be appreciated.

I am buying the car from Synters and it is coming with a 12 month BMW used car warranty.
