I have the cascade in mine and it looks great works great and has the latest maps and software.

If you search for the following string on ebay you can find the latest maps and soft for about £50

I'm sure I have seen the Sytner one for sale before, but it was far too expensive at 12K. How things change!

the car is such a rare beast in that colour, it must be the one.

I personally like the colour and it's rarity adds something for me.

I have Falken 452's fitted all round at the moment. Iv'e been very happy with the dry grip, but like you said not available anymore. I bought them from camskil and had them delivered to the wheel specialist where I was having my wheels powder coated, so kind of got them fitted for free. Only lasted ...

There's a deal on Avons at Nationwide at the moment. Buy 1 get another at half price. I've just priced up two new front tyres and it works out at £232.26. Not a bad price. If I were selling it I would include photos of the boot welds and seat bolster as it has such high miles.

Maybe state what advisories it had too to allay fears of future costs.

So just to clarify was the original diagnosis wrong (and also the thread title)? And the damage to the piston was caused buy the spark plug debris? (and the source of the noise?) and new shells/bolts fitted as a precaution whilst the piston was replaced? Yes c_w the original diagnosis was wrong but...

No damage to the bore or cyl head? The bit of debris looks bigger than the chip out of the piston. If I had the engine that stripped, I would have balanced all the components +/- 1g (BMW tolerance is +/- 5g). Do Geoff Steel offer that service? I know they do performance upgrades as I have them book...

Looks nice but the colour does not look quite right, a bit pink.

The only other imola I have seen up close is jonttt's and the PH one is not the same colour.

It's fixed :D First of all thanks to all of you that helped and gave advice particularly JohnWayne who came to my house to help diagnose the problem. So you dont have to read the whole thread, I lost the tip off a spark plug cylinder 5. Note to self "have the inspection 11 done BEFORE you go on a 25...

When I use an 8gig stick formatted FAT32 it works ok but my 16gig stick is NTFS and does not.

It would be nice to know the procedure for doing the test and what readings you got.

I did my S50 recently and had a few psi difference on cylinder 2, but I am not sure I followed the corect procedure when carrying out the test.
