I have all that stuff from a 1.9 Z3 (diff, beam, arms) for £80. But the arms will be 12mm narrower either side. so not much use.

Dream, the question beckons if you cant get uprated rear shocks for later Z1, how comes you have one   Apparently these were made to order for a Z1 owner according to the web Charles our Greek woman have larger rear ends so the stiffer the better  Apollo do Greek women have big re...

Surely in this situation you'd be better off sticking an s54 in? They are a far more common engine to come by so I'd think you would pick one up for a fair bit less? Is the conversion very difficult? No it is not difficult, you need to put the old loom on to the new engine though or run it off an i...

I think the newer ones were also in Blue and Purple??

And the newer ones had E36 adjustable Camber in the rear suspension, the earlier ones did not.

So you can set up a newer one except for castor

oups... I don't know way there are diffent numbers for the originals. For example the Koni dampers are fitting to all Z1, so there is no mechanical reason. ;) Regards Michael The shocks are different on the later Z1s as the bush is angled at 15 degrees, on the older Z1s they are straight, so you ca...

Why is that?

The E30 arm sits 12mm in more. Many e30 owners (like me) use Z3 arms to convert to 5 stud. That brings the track out by 12 mm. You should be able to use a bmw compact E36 rear arm (but check first) if not use your car with a spacer, and wait for another second hand one to come up. Also try eurocarpa...

Glad to hear that. Why did the catalyst fail at such low mileage, was it the UK fuel? It must have been some bad gas somewhere along the line. Re: Heating Issue - Hot or Cold?

Could you possibly have an air lock. Make sure the radiator is full of water, find the heater pipes and give them a squeeze to see if water is flowing into the radiator. An air lock might be the problem, or even a sticky engine thermostat! Ive recently bought an older Z3 (1997 R reg) and realised th...
