Re: Anyone got an automatic Z3?
I have owned a 3.0L for the last ten years, purchased primarily due to a disability in my left leg. On the congested roads down here in the south east it is far more sensible than my manual Audi. Don't be led into the idea that auto means slow, the 3.0 auto will beat anything 'out of the gate' (with...

Yes. Usual safety stuff about jacks and axle stands apply here. [1] Start by removing the handbrake cable support brackets either side so that the cables are free in the air. This will save any damage to the handbrake mechanism when you go to the next step. [2] Remove the lower shock absorber bolt. ...

There is no getting away from it, you can't drive an auto transmission in the same manner as a manual - if you want to get the best out of it. Bought a set from Taiwan 6 years ago and still as new today. I was very sceptical about quality but they are undetectable from an original chrome part. Don't pay silly money for a set, they almost certainly all come from the same manufacturer.

Re: Strange clutch action - judder 2.2 58 k miles
The clutch consists of a friction disc clamped between the flywheel and the pressure plate at a pressure that requires a fair degree of force via hydraulics to disengage so there is no chance of water contamination or 'rust' affecting its operation. Further, the standard clutch will function quite a...
