Hello all.

Well i haven't been active on for sometime due to the sale of my Z3M. However just thought i would say hi and post up some pictures of the car i replaced the Zed with. haha, thanks for the comments shanty. My boyhood dream was to own a Evo so I might just stick to it. However I had a ride in a E60 M5 today and all I can say is WOW!!! Might have to save a little bit more for a larger deposit now :twisted:

15) the valve clearances need to be checked and reshimmed every inspection II service. I think this is a must and there is absolutely no way a mechanic can tell whether they need adjusting by merely listening! I checked mine at 54k and they were mostly out of range. Getting conflicting reports then...

15) I don't all together agree with this even though it is part of an inspection II (part of the reason an proper inspection II is so expensive at dealer and why a lot of indy's can do it cheaper ie they don't do this bit!). Have a look on Pistonheads, prices range from £6000 up to about £13000. You would want to buy a decent one though as a unloved example will be asking for trouble, mine is currently up for sale for £8000 and open to offers around there :D Obvioulsy a fair bit more to run than a 1.9. I didn't realise this was a must at every Inspection II. The garage i just got my last Inspection II done said around 80000 miles and this was a mechanic who had 15 years service with BMW.

I think there actually every 4500miles if driven hard, I read some where that 6000 miles is ok if your not thrashing it everyday, however not 100% sure. So i would have to do a bit of research before i commit.

You have certainly made my mind up. I wanted an exhaust for under £400 for my Z3-3.0. Yours sounds absolutely perfect.. Sporty but not chavy ! Today I got my custom made Powerflow exhaust fitted. Was made up of the two rear boxes. The tail pipes I selected were a perfect fit. Another year.....

The MR was due MOT today! Passed with flying colours, only thing the guy did was adjust my headlights as I fitted new H.I.D ones. £44 well spent :D :D

Next on the list is a custom exhaust on Thursday then next month its Inspection 2!!!! :( :(
