thats what i thought but my insurance is pretty expensive!
it's obviously because i'm a young driver but it was a right struggle to get anyone to insure me whatsoever... and i have a couple years no claims!

think they're a different shape because the lights are different. also the facelift one is probably longer because of the wide rear arches. they also look a bit different.
somebody else may be able to tell you for definate.

do you have any pics of them on your silver car jontt? also, can you tell that the carbon effect badges aren't actually carbon? i was thinking about changing my badges to carbon fibre ones a while ago but with four body badges, four wheel badges and a steering wheel badge it worked out pretty pricey!

i'm looking for a standard filter box for my 2001 1.9 (not sure if they are different on different models?) becuase the foam inside mine is crumbling :head:

dont think that will help because there seem to be two different cats for the pre and post '99 models (i'd assume regulations on exhaust gases got a bit tighter inbetween models). i'm just wondering if anybody knows for if it will actually fit becuase the pre '99 cat is alot cheaper.

8-) looking good, and yes you are mad! you should get the chrome rings around the dials and heater controls (i always thought it was a standard option, but you dont have any in your photos), really makes the interior look smart imo.
how much did the CAT cost as i'm afraid mine may need replacing.

i managed to come up with a solution to covering the tyre whilst painting today. first i tucked masking tape in between the tyre and the alloy and folded it down onto the tyre (still couldnt get it to stick) and then i used brown packaging tape to cover the tyre and hold the masking tape to the tyre...

cheers zed carer, i tried similar by putting cereal box card inbetween the tyre and the wheel but it didnt work as well as i had planned and kept falling out! i'll have to try something a bit thicker i think and i'll also try buying a new masking tape because the one i used has been lying around for...

i'd imagine the badge would sit inside a cup which would sit inside the wheel center and the badge would be atatched on a rod or something similar to the wheels on a skateboard so that it could spin freely..... seems quite do-able to me. alsternatively you could just paint over the letters BMW so it...

i use a tomtom at work and it's pretty much faultless. they tested it against a garmin and also the satnav built into the blaupunkt hadunits we use and apparently the tomtom is ALOT better. think theyre pretty cheap now aswell which is always a bonus!
