Feet up with a beer time!

Top Gear Christmas special being shown on Boxing Day. Jezza announced on Radio 2 this morning,"the challenge" is driving 2 seater roadsters in Iraq. Clarkson has the MX5, Hamster a Fiat (probably a Barchetta) and Captain Slow a BMW. My guess is it's a Z3. What do you think? Should make a c...

Temp window fix

Shame about the split. Wickes do a clear waterproof tape which if stuck to the inside and outside of the window split will provide a waterproof fix. I have some on a split which has held now for over a year. I will eventually replace the rear screen when I can get round to it.

58 and owned the Z for 2 years after finally "growing up" (my wife's words) and selling my beloved Honda VFR800 motorcycle. Love the Z just as much, and it's a damm sight more comfortable!

moving seats £1600 to fix

£1600!!! absolute rip off. As others have done, buy some Whalen bushes and have a go at fitting them it's not difficult and the difference is amazing. If you search here and on youtube there a informative posts that will guide you through the process.

Anthracite seats & door cards for Z3

Recently treated my Z to a leather interior so I have the original seats and door cards for sale. The finish is Anthracite cloth. The seats are electrically adjustable with all motors working correctly, the cloth is in very good condition with no fraying, tears, holes, stains or burn marks. The seat...

Ps Is username any reference to the late, great Joey Dunlop?

Great trip you have planned. I agree with 2litrezed and would advise going across and down the east side of france and possibly through part of Switzerland. I have driven down to Frejus a number of times and one road you should not miss is the N85 or Route de Napoleon from Grenoble to Cannes. I have...

Keep an open mind re engine size and do not discount the smaller engine variants. The more cars you look at the more knowledge you will gain as to what looks and sounds right. I usually buy private, but you need to be patient and disciplined. Look for the best all round package ie service history,re...

Totally agree, the dales offer enjoyable runs and stunning scenery. My wife and I drove up to Hawes, Thwaite, Muker, Gunnerside,Leyburn down to Skipton on Sunday in the Z. We were accompanied by friends in their MG TF (nice car but not a patch on the Z imho) and had the tops down all day, FANTASTIC ...
