Thanks Rob, that fits with my local dealers advice, although all they said was that I need to replace a sensor, nothing about that they could be cleaned. I'll have a search on here and see if I can find it.

Guys, the ASC and ABS telltale lights have just come on

on my 2Ltr 1999 Z3. Parked up no problem. Stopped for 30mins restarted and lights are on.

Any ideas please, handbook says take to stealer but thought I'd try here first.

Well, just got back with the Z c/w new shocks and strut brace. What can I say. Now very sharp in bends and none of the scuttle associated with cornering on less than perfect surfaces, my enjoyment of driving this car has just increased tenfold.
