Hi
I bought mine in 2000, 87,000kms on the clock for £13k. Currently it has 132,000Kms not sure what it’s worth but thinking of putting it up for sale next year.

Front bumper gasket
Hi folks Does anyone have a pair of front rubber gaskets for sale? They are fitted above the bumper and below the front fender. Part number is 51712291291 which I believe isn't available from BMW anymore. Thinking out of the box is there a suitable substitute which is readily available? Let me know ...

I have just had a look and the material is described as high performance technical grade thermoplastic material. Sorry if this isn't much help.

I have tech data on the bmw Z1 when it was originally designed. I think the detail of the plastic bodywork may be in there. I will reply at the weekend if its in there.

Sorry for the delay Finer z1, The crack on the bumper was about 150 cms long and right on the corner which can be difficult. I don't know much it was so sort, but I will dig out the paper work. The rear lights look amazing, I think the front needs some work but good never the less. You can find some footage on you tube as it is a working prototype.

Paul, I have got the same problem, I didn't know if it happened on its own or someone had been leaning on it...I had a split in my bumper and took it to a company in Sheffield called Raceproved. They specialise in TVR's so plastics ain't a problem but they are good and the paint work was perfect... ...

I have a 4-5mm thick steel plate with a hole in it. All it does is secure the lower lip of the battery to secure it in place. Nothing flash but does the job..

Sorry to hear about it mate. I took mine to car hood warehouse which I think is now soft-tops in croydon. I left my car there and I picked it up the next day. I think it cost me about £300 for a replaced rear screen but I am sure you can talk them down.
