Hibination

Hi, Just wondering if anyone has any tips on how to put my z3 to sleep for this winter and maybe summer and next winter too! I've just had my first baby and I doubt I'll get to use the z3 for a couple of years? I'm storing her in the garage, but do I trickle charge, or remove battery? Any other tips...

Hi, that's a shame, I would have preferred them to go to someone on the forum.

My z3 is a blue pre facelift one. It doesn't get out much in the winter but the sun is starting to shine so should be our and about soon.

What about your z3? I'll keep an eye out!

The noise has only occurred after the oil change. And I have put enough oil in it.

I changed the inner rods too which have the ball on! but is there another inside the rack?

Power steering fluid change!

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has a special way to renew the power steering?

Is it just a case of popping a hose off and empty?

Is there anyway or getting the old fluid out of the steering rack?

Think it will also fit,

BMW 3 Series E36 316 - 318

BMW 3 Series E46 316 - 318

BMW 5 Series E34 518

It comes with a sump ring, the large rubber ring that goes around the filer plastic case and the two small 'o' rings!

Turns out they were fairly easy! I removed the instruments by undoing the two torx screws and slow pulled with my finger tips until I could get to the back of the unit! I then disconnected the right hand side connector which gave me good access to the bulbs. Only one had gone but i thought it would ...

Hi, I'm after some help with changing the bulbs behind the instruments. My bulb behind the fuel gauge has blown. Also as the others are dull I thought I might as well replace them too. The oils not black, and the car is serviced each year. But the car only does about 2-4miles a day (winter). So I am worried about the car not getting up to a decent tempreture. I was just wondering if I should use the wurth engine flush and cleaner? But it sounds like the majority say not to bother!...
