Re: 50k miles 2.8 z3

£4.5k sounds a lot for a 2.8? Maybe it's just me but I'd rather spend that kind of money on the M that's for sale on this forum which is at rock bottom price wise and can surely only go up in value. Just my 2p.

£4,500 for a 7/10 condition M Roadster is a steal quite frankly...I usually keep an eye on the market and one in that described condition would be typically be a couple of £k more depending on time of year more so buyer did well :D It's these kind of prices that make me think there is no way I'd sel...

Re: SUPER CHEAP M/ ON THE BAY

Small world - my identical Z3 was in Grosvenor in Reading at exactly the same time in 2011 for an Inspection 2, I distinctly remember the owner of the garage mentioning the other car had an invoice for work well in excess of £2k! Sounds a good purchase, if you do decide you want to flog that hardtop...

Re: SUPER CHEAP M/ ON THE BAY

It's probably worth having an inspection done at that price - I see it's had 5 offers already! Factor in the value of the hardtop + fitting kit and that's a bargain despite the high miles, heck I'd buy the hardtop off you. The fact it's had 13 stamped services would suggest a good amount of work has...

Re: Classic Insurance - Who do you use?

Thanks for all the replies - have had four quotes now (and one which said they don't offer a classic policy on a Z3) and all are within £50 of each other based on 3,000 miles so guess it's a combination of being young-ish, a nice rural post code and it being a Z3M that it's approx £250. Cheers guys for all the help. MSM won't cover the M and the best price so far is from Hagerty (thanks Gill!). Cheers, looks like I'm going to be busy tomorrow! I should be getting quotes from MSM, Classicline, Flux and now Hagerty 8-) Unfortunately my current insurer (Admiral) were way off the pace with a quote for the new car so a multicar policy is a no go.

Cheers for that, was thinking if I can get anywhere from £200 - £250 I'd be happy so I'll give them a go and see what they quote at. I'll try my current insurer for a multicar policy but from memory when trying to add an e39 a year or two ago they weren't competitive.

Hi chaps So looks like the Z3 will be on the road for at least another year, just passed it's MOT with no advisories :) Not bad for a car built in July 1998! 3 (!) x M Coupe in and around Hereford

Boston Green
Dakar
Silver

Probably about a year since I've seen a Coupe and then spot three in one week in Hereford of all places (which seems to be very much 4x4 country). The Boston Green was parked up in the city centre and looked particularly tidy, liked the colour.
