Are brilliant - thank you very much - I have been trawling the 'net for a breakdown picture without success. I thought the bolts must be structural, I couldn't see how else they could stay together
Much appreciated

Well I gave them a ring, and eventually I got through to someone who seemed to know what I was talking about. He said that the bolts were only cosmetic, and not structural - so I asked how the two parts of the wheel stay together? He said he didn't know - which was not a lot of help. I've included a...

Thanks for that - I'll give them a ring this week and see if I can get some where - although I'm slightly concerned that as several of them have broken already it might be a continuing problem?

Broken split rim bolts - help please

Hi My Z4 is fitted with 5 spoke split rim 18 wheels, and I’ve just discovered to my horror that one of them has a bolt missing and the other wheel had two missing (one of which did have a bolt in it with a wobbly head that fell out when I touched it - it was sheared in half) I know that there are 20...

Hi all I would just like to add my thanks to Mark for all his hard work in organising it, and to everyone else who put undoubted amounts of hard work in. For someone who had never done anything like this before, it was some eye opener - particularly the first leg with the first (fast!) group. It mad...

Hi You inspired me to reminisce!! Reading the comments on the 'E' type and the fact that I saw one this afternoon, makes me realise it is still some car, and really is ageless in respect to looks, sound etc. Although I would tremble at the thought of owning one in case anything might go wrong - are ...

Why swap a classic with a cross between a Cadillac and a Pontiac Solstice? Hi I agree entirely with gookah above, I lift the garage door up and think the same - and I'm very proud. To suggest that the Z4 is in anyway an American car is to me disappointingly unkind. At the end of the day if someone ...

Hi Mitchell I can't speak for the Z3 not having had one, but the Z4 3.0 that I bought 5 months ago is lovely. I suppose many of the comments that have been made about the Z4 are true to a point - yes it isn't very flash inside - but the more restraint look has grown on me. The 18 inch RFT tyres do g...

Hi Mine never came with a jack - just runflats, I think mine is a SE? I'm glad the question has been asked as I was pretty certain they were where you say, but not certain enough to put a trolley jack under! I've got to go and have a front tyre re-seated sometime (very slow leak 2psi per week), so h...

Hi That is some engine!! The way it is photographed it looks like it is far too big for the little Z in the background, and would end up sticking out the top like the 'funny cars' of my youth!! Hi all On my way home from work the other night, on a 50 mph stretch of road that the local tight fisted council have decided to permanently turn off all the street lights on! Hi Just like to say hello to everyone. I finally indulged myself at the ripe old age of 48! and took the plunge with a Z4. I think I have waited 22 years since I had to sell my Triumph Spitfire when my eldest was due. But it has been worth the wait! and I can still get in and out without too much tr...
