Re: Am I expecting the world...
Yes that's correct! However - why is the oil level lamp coming on? If I'm correct this is to say your oil needs topping up? However, after less than 2000 miles since a major service i.e a full oil change - should it have consumed so much oil that the warning light is going off? I appreciate cars wil...

Hi all Please can anyone help?? I just had an inspection 2 service completed beginning of August. In that time I've done under 2000 miles. I was looking at a BMW Independant website today - and it is quoted as saying there is a new ecu/software update for 2013 for the z3!
Is this correct? Do BMW issue new software every year?
Thanks in advance

Has anyone seen/used the new fuel additive that BMW have brought out? I noticed a bottle of it at the service desk on a recent visit. I've read a few news stories recently reference the change to MOT standards. Has anyone else heard about these changes and what they are? For example I've read that a failure will be if your air bag is past it's expiry date? How long do air bags last on z3? Also that any warning lights on the dash w...

I'm curious why you think that? I had a brand new gear box put in by BMW at a cost of £3000 ( had I not had the warranty), appreciate BMW prices are over inflated but nonetheless the £500 warranty covered it, had I not had it then I'd be forking out a lot even if not done by BMW?

I know there will always be the cynics out there, however, this aside, I`m told the facts are that - nitrogen escapes slower from the tyres, thus keeping the proper shape of your tyre for longer, thus better grip more of the time.
