I was losing coolant slightly a few years ago and found a very fine crack in the header tank. easily fixed with a replacement from ECP.

The BMW coolant is expensive but I don't think it is something to economise on. You need about 5 litres and it should be changed every 4 years.

The copper washer is for the sump drain plug. To get the two small washers you need to find the numbers on realoem and order them from a main dealer.

The standard fit for the staggered wheels on the Zed is 225/45-17 front and 245/40-17 rear.

I have also had this and it is probably as Mike says but it wouldn't hurt to check the disc run-out with a DTI. If that is OK clean the pads and discs. I bought my 3.0 in 2008 as a 65th birthday present to myself and am still thoroughly enjoying it so I don't think you are too old yet. I am off to lake Garda in it on Sunday.

Black Circles are showing £233 for the Dunlops and £243 for the Bridgestones fitted. According to their website, the Dunlop is better for wet grip and economy.

A new radio, with a trip to Italy coming up this summer with my daughter as a passenger, Boot space is going to be at a premium so I have now removed the CD changer. The new radio has the advantage of Bluetooth phone connection, digital and FM, single CD and USB connections. :) http://i1100.photobuc...

I have just replaced my radio with a digital and therefore have the original BMW head unit and changer. Yours for £50 if you have the wiring.

I'm sure you would have tried this but just on the off chance you haven't, get 1 person to pull up on the bonnet while the other is pulling the release handle. It might not have enough tension to pop it by itself but with a bit of extra force it might work You actually probably need to get someone ...

If I have something that I do not want to handle myself, I use Kings in South Warnborough, They sorted an elusive problem on my E46 3251i which the main dealer couldn't find. and are very friendly and reasonably priced.

If you got the Saab in, you should be OK. Seven feet wide is quite enough to open one door. It is much easier to get out if you open the window.

I have to ask, why do you need a hardtop, especially if you have a lined hood? Often thought about getting one but I prefer the hood down on cold sunny days than in the height of summer. Tim. That looks a pretty crude item. I doubt it would fit the Z3 as the Z3 rear suspension is E30 based.
