Re: Wanted driver's side clear side marker light
These can be purchased from Eurocarparts as front indicators part numbers 477110380 and 47110390 at £31-71 each. I ordered them on line and picked them up at the local branch that afternoon.

AC Motor Query?
On my 2001 2.2 Z3, I'm led to believe that when the AC is switched on, the fan forward of the radiator should be running...mine doesn't. Can anyone confirm this to be the case and, if so, what would the reasons be for not running.

Re: z3 2.2 scorpion exhaust
Hi, The system was around £350 if memory serves me right. Give them a ring and ask if they have one in stock, as they only keep low stock levels and ask what discount they will give. I even mentioned the club and the guy gave me what seemed like a trade price as I picked it up. The build quality is ...

Re: z3 2.2 scorpion exhaust
I fitted the complete exhaust system from the cats back....love the deep throat noise this exhaust makes. I went to Scorpian in Ripley and bought the exhaust from them direct as I wanted to see what it looked like...even got a discount. Fitted fantastic and sits perfectly on the car.

Re: Z3 2.2 - Engine Noise
Hi David, I have the exact same car and from the same year. I recently changed the V grooved alternator drive belt for similar reasons (whirring noise which seemed to get louder). On removing the old belt and bending it, it was obvious there were thousands of little cracks where the rubber had aged....

Hi, Before you go to spending lots of money, replace the brake light switch as this controls the roof opening mechanism. The roof won't open or close unless you are stopped and it needs the brakes on to confirm this (hence the switch must work), it may also explain why you have no brake lights. As t...

Tramlining Solved
Having owned my Z3 for about a year, I have spent most of the time trying to cure the dreaded tramlining effect and jittering on uneven road surfaces. To that end I went the polybush route, followed by the strut brace and the usual "make sure the tyre pressure is right". Unfortunately all ...

Be aware that these hoods come with a fixed rear window, not the usual zip in type that BMW supply. If it comes to having the rear window replaced in years to come it is much more expensive as the window has to be sewn in and neccesitates removing the hood from the car. Thought you should be prewarn...

I've had my 2.2 for around 6 months and am totally satisfied with the car. I was looking for the straight six as my Son and Son in law both work for BMW and had both said it was the engine of choice, regardless of CC. I spent nearly 3 months looking at everything on the market before making my final...

Engine bay paint
Hi, I have a Titanium Silver Z3 (2001) and could do with touching up a couple of areas under the bonnet. Does anyone know where to obtain the light grey paint I need? I can't even get hold of the paint code to be able to order or have some mixed....I'm sure someone will know as we seem to have a vas...

It cost £400 and I collected it, however Roadrunner in Notts are doing the same exhaust for £418 delivered. I have heard a Scorpion and it isn't boy racer, but more touring sports car growl. The one I heard sounded like an Aston Martin type growl and I fell for it straight away....hence £400 lighter...

Unfortunately getting the nuts undone on the flange joint has resulted in cutting them of with my Dremel. I have purchased stainless bolts and copper plated nu...
