Re: Cleaned the motor
I love them too.
In a bit of a quandary though, I'm refurbishing a set of 18" staggered MV1's and don't know whether or not to fit them. Not sure which would look the best?????????

Re: Cobra Exhaust :(
I know where you're coming from with the VOSA site, the thing is the Driver Vehicle Agency (DVA) are the body responsible for delivery of all vehicle testing in Northern Ireland. Things are different over here, our cars are MOT'd at 4 years old, there are only 15 test centers which all vehicles must...

Re: Cobra Exhaust :(
I read through the Driver Vehicle Agency light vehicle testers manual before I removed the cat and found this. Check for the presence of a catalytic converter on spark ignition engined vehicles first used on or after 1 July 2002 with, four or more wheels, a GVW of more than 400kg, not more than 12 p...

Re: Cobra Exhaust :(
Yea no cat = less restrictive exhaust.
Couple that with modded air box, cold air feed, K&N panel filter, lightened flywheel and it makes for one rev happy wee engine

Re: Cobra Exhaust :(
It's not that I don't like loud exhausts, rode bikes for years with loud open pipes  but this is just to loud to bear. Think I have sussed out why it's sooooooooooooooooooo loud, I have no cat fitted so there's no silencing effect before the exhaust. Exhaust is off, have asked the motor fac...

Re: exhausts on eBay- your thoughts please?
Well seller contacted me by email today. He couldn't have been more helpful, I sent him photos of the tips with a set of verniers showing 90mm and he offered me a refund straight away. He's even arranged for a courier to lift it from my house so I'm not out any more money in the interim. All I can s...

Re: exhausts on eBay- your thoughts please?
Got the exhaust today
big problem, the exhaust tips are 90mm not 80mm as stated in the add
Far tooooooooo big for me, plus there's no way it would fit without cutting the bumper, and that aint happening
just emailed the seller, hopefully we can sort this amicably.

Re: exhausts on eBay- your thoughts please?
I was a bit worried about it being too noisy as well, but am hoping it shouldn't be too bad as it has 2 boxes, whereas the supersprint only has one. For the price I got it at I thought it was worth a pop, plus my old one was getting more and more like swiss cheese :) I bought the de-cat pipe of the ...

Done the clutch at the front of the house. Not that hard really providing you have the grear and knowledge, ive done quite a few more difficult ones (try lifting a subary 4X4 box by yourself  ). I say this with a cautionary warning as I served my time a diesel fitter working on heavy plant man...

Hi, I had a similar problem recently and it turned out to be the micro switch in the door lock anchor. If you open the door and look at the lock anchor (bolted to the car not the door) there is a small black plastic plunger. This was sticking on my drivers door and not allowing alarm to arm. Quick c...

stitching around rear window
Hi guys only my second post even though I've had the zed for near a year now and loving every bit of it. Just wondering if anyone can offer a bit of advice. The stitching is starting to go at the corners of the rear window where the zip joins the hood. Does anyone know type and size of thread to use...

Lowering for a new bod
Well guys this is my first post, been a serial watcher since I swapped 2 wheels for 4 last June. Am now starting to consider what bits and bobs I want to do to my wee babe. Have done the obligatory searches about lowering but there is that much info my red wine dulled brain can’t take it all in :lol...
