It would be worth checking your seat belt for friction burn marks, which show as a smooth area across the weave of the fabric, this would indicate that the belt has been in use in an accident. Yes the speakers dead but one of the pins on the connector to the wiring harness has broken so I think it has to be a new speaker all together.

How did you test the relay

I've just looked at the eBay link you gave, it says it comes with comprehensive set of installation instructions. Are they no good as you say you have followed the installation guide on bimmer forums. Just wondered what the difference was.

I purchased a garmin 2595 lmt with european maps off amazon for £170 and £30 cash back a couple of weeks ago, its now £165. What a piece of kit, really good. I remember going up hardknott in the rain and mist, all you could see was the headlights of cars coming down the pass, it was like watching the flight path of incoming planes at heathrow. Great drive though, hope you enjoyed it!

I have to say Vehicle Rescue Direct Breakdown Cover from AXA Assistance so far have replied with an email very quickly and documents to follow.

Had a look at the ADAC site but as I Can't speak German, thought I would give it a miss. Gone for the vehicle-rescue site quote of £24.75 and like zzzemmco says it has AXA behind it so hopefully it should be ok although I don't really want to find out :P
