Afternoon mate, I tried exactly what you did to begin with, I just upgraded the speakers in the footwells and behind the seats but with the same headunit very little noticable effect. So i hunted around for a headunit with a good Amp built in as i dont want to route cables all over the place for an...

Hi Olly Not the answer to your question but we have done eurotrips over the last two years, we shrinked wrapped our clothes in vacuum bags using a hoover and put them in the boot and behind the seats. Its amazing how much you can get on board. Important to make sure you have access to a hoover where...

Hi Steve Thanks for that. It would be worth checking your seat belt for friction burn marks, which show as a smooth area across the weave of the fabric, this would indicate that the belt has been in use in an accident. If that it the case I wouldn't use it as the belt will have been weakened. Hope t...

Hi Micklaw
Thanks for your reply
Yes the speakers dead but one of the pins on the connector to the wiring harness has broken so I think it has to be a new speaker all together.
How did you test the relay
Cheers

Hi gedo,
I've just looked at the eBay link you gave, it says it comes with comprehensive set of installation instructions. Are they no good as you say you have followed the installation guide on bimmer forums. Just wondered what the difference was.

Before I had a satnav I used to use maps, they were called patnav. It was very good and included voice navigation but it suffered with it's auto rotation. If we travelled north everything was fine but if going south its rotation didn't include the text and all the writing was upside down, this used ...

Re: To buy a SatNav or use iPhone or even use a Map??
I purchased a garmin 2595 lmt with european maps off amazon for £170 and £30 cash back a couple of weeks ago, its now £165. What a piece of kit, really good. I previously used copilot on an htc phone, no comparison. The 2595 includes bluetooth, traffic and upto date maps, costs extra for speed camer...
