Re: classic car show NEC
Went last year stayed at a hotel just over the lake from the NEC 5 mins walk - but if you are just going for the day, park in a side road or carpark at the next station or two down the line from NEC and get on the train it's far less hassle than getting in and out of the facility itself. It's a grea...

Ok, guys, being a bit of a skinflint - rather than buying one of these CTEK thingies and leaving it on all the time could I just have an ordinary charger pemanently hooked up and on a timer to charge say six hours once a week? - or doesn't it work like that. My sister is a tree-hugger and get's most...

Ok it's getting to that SORN time of year, and thinking of trickle charger for battery. Does it have to be one of those CTEK ones or will a little 4w solar charger permanently hooked be adequate?? Anyone any experience of these?? I see there are 1.8 watt ones also available? Thoughts/experience/advi...

If I was unlucky enough to be in the vicinity of a 3 year old I would gladly lock him/her in the boot for a lot longer than the time it takes for the light to go out. Maybe 6 or 7 days.......... Thanks, Daz, this is pretty much the conclusion we have now reached - that when the hood was replaced, the sealing gasket wasn't - just bodged!! Thanks for your interest Robert - It's so hard to figure out which is what - I've been squinting at the breakdown and trying to relate it to the link below, trying to work out which is the butyl strip and wondering if those wiggly end bits were drainage tubes and fitted into a cavity that exited out...

Totally agree, Tim, this is certainly the best looking SLK for me, don't like the new one much at all - I think they could have played with the engines a bit, changed the sta nav and Audio system to touch screen and lots of happy suasage eaters!! Have you really thought this through, Tim. The Z4's are just so plasticcy (??!!) and tinny IMHO - they just don't seem have the same substance as the 3's at all. Dashboard is just the worst!! Only redeeming feature (at least on the new ones) is that they've finally caught up with the foldaway roof -...

Not sure about your particular model but check left side of boot/inner wing (you'll need to pull back/remove the mushrooms, and possible rear light backplate which hold the bulbs, to get the felt liner out) - you may find it's full of water and if the motion sensor is down in there................. ...

Loads and Loads of them, firstly black on A31 with boat in tow and chrome door handles - heading west. Then a couple of dark blue and a silver near to Fleet. On the way back light blue then a dark one - think green rather than black and another silver by Basingstoke. Finally very nice looking Estori...

Stripped out boot trim today, both left and right wells had half inch of water. None in battery compartment but wet sponge under tool tray. When hosed, water is coming down the main battery feed cable o/s top of boot - anybody know where this goes?? Can't believe this is the only point of entry. No ...
