I know this might create a backlash but from my experience, EBC pads are a bit naff! If you want good pads use either Mintex extreme or Ferrodo Ds2500 or Ds3000. Hi john what size discs do you have as standard? I have a 3.0 z3 they have 300mm discs and massive calipers this could be an option for an upgrade i find my 3.0 stops very well with these big discs. :D

Its a standard facelift z3 wheel that i had recovered by royal steering wheels i used carbon wrap to cover the top part, try looking on E,Bay you will probably find one on there.

When the cars leave the factory they have a base map for european conditions , ie fuel octane ect all a remap does is release the power the engine has from the factory its not magic! These are mass produced engines churned out by the thousands, BMW have targets to hit and one of them is not refining...

Thanks guys look like an easy job, as for cost im having black leather and alcantra with blue stitching its costing £134 plus postage. They have also started making leather gaiters for hand brake and gear stick also black with blue stitching, i will post some pics when i get them back.

Brembo are very good, they are one of the leaders in performance brake parts. Large car companys like porsche and ferrari use Brembo brake discs and calipers you cant go far wrong with these.

when you take the belt off try the tensioner pulley it should be free running and not sound like a skateboard over gravel!! I changed my belt recently and while i was at it checked the tensioner wheel it sounded a bit noisy so i went to the main dealer this was a big mistake as they wanted £130 OUCH...

ive taken the back boxes of and painted the rear section black they were just to polished. when you stood back and looked at the system they stuck out like a sore thumb much better now, you just focus on those lovely tail pipes!
