Another characteristic on non adjustable rear suspension! camber is great for cornering but wear rates take a beating. I can get 20k out of my rears (245/40r17) on sport suspension but lowering pretty much halved that for me!

I agree with differing dealer prices..many moons ago I would travel upto bridgegate in chesterfield ( approx 65 miles away) instead of 8 miles to my nearest in sutton coldfield as they wanted £458 for an insp 2 as opposed to £260 up north, crazy!! Cheers guys, that's not a bad price at all for a dealer, might have to ring mine. I have a zunsport lower grille in mine and I couldn't believe how much paint has been rubbed off by it.

No, they will stick out too far. The z3m had a narrower axle. Same width as per facelift 1.9 ( I think)

Washed, clayed and waxed car yesterday, cleaned and reproofed the hood then parked in garage. Went out today to see mate in derby and come out to find a 6 in scratch on passenger door and the bonnet has been done as well ....bugger

I am facing the same dilemma, at 62k miles my clutch pedal is high and the clutch occasionally Judders, guess just unlucky! that's interesting about the volvo's; my father has just purchased a new xc90 diesel and the book figures seem a bit optimistic! my zed seems to average 30-31 with approx 75% motorway and 25% town so not too bad!!

I have owned my 2.2 for a little over 3years taking the mileage up from 34k to 62k and have used both regular and super unleaded with little noticeable difference. just wanted to reopen this thread - decided to have a go today on my 2001 facelift; only took about 1 hour, start to finish :D . nice and simple to remove the headlamps 4 screws ( thanks guys for pics!) and used a wood chisel to carefully remove the moulded cap and then tapped off the bumper marker ...

I agree with mike, I normally use our local garage but £90for an oil and filter change is silly. Only cost me £40 and I could remove fuel pump fuse and build up oil pressure. Most jobs are now diy, my thinking is I would rather buy the tools and own them instead of paying someone else and still be b...

Just for info I changed my viscous coupling as the BMW one developed play and I bought one from eurocarparts. This also whirs like yours for the first few hundred metres then stops and behaves like the BMW one. Considering it cost less than half of an oem part I can live with that

true, I agree another 0.2mm measured using verniers was all that storm needed to reduce the internal diameter of the button to allow it to slip on easier. I did consider emailing them at the time but once i had got the file out, it was the point of no return!!
