Re: BMWCCGB Zedfest, 20 – 22 July 2012, Silverstone Circuit

Hi,
The shot numbered _MG_7946 showing blue Z3 M400SES is me and my son and we'd dearly love a copy of this shot. Would you be willing to supply please?
Many thanks.
Regards,
Tony

Re: BMWCCGB Zedfest, 20 – 22 July 2012, Silverstone Circuit

Hi, If your Z took part in the Silverstone parade lap with one of the following registrations and you’d like a photo of your car, please email me at tonymoses@sky.com. Please remember, they’re taken from a moving car so quality is variable – these are ‘raw’ shots with no cropping or post-production,...

Re: Seat bushes done on an early '98, quick guide;

I would not have attempted this task without with excellent guide. I hope some of issues I experienced may help refine things even further :rtm: 1. After fitting the new bushings I found it necessary to use a vice to press the metal block back fully into position. Without doing this it stood slightl...

I'm trying, so far in vain to find a strut brace for my more modest 1.9 4 cylinder. Can anyone advise please? PS Since I don't play Champions League Football for a living AC Snitzer-like prices are out

Cheers

Thanks for that. A lot more than I expected but I suppose I'll just have to bite my lip at the dealers.
Thanks again for the quick response.

Hardtop mounting kit price - any ideas?

Hi, I'm about to bid on a hardtop from ebay but my car doesn't have the mounting kit that fits into the body. Rang my local dealer today and asked if these kits are still available and at what price. They said they'd call me back but didn't. I'd like to make a decision soon so if anyone has bought o...

chrome roll hoops

Hi, After owning several 5 series for a number of years I bought into Z3 ownership in February this year and love it. I'd really like to add chrome roll hoops to our 1999, 1.9 but all my research has determined is that there seems to be bewildering combinations of roll hoop, wind deflector and fitti...

Just to sum up - I changed the rear springs and pads yesterday without problems. One spring was broken with the other OK. So if anyone has a use for rear spring from a 1999 1.9 it's yours :)

Sound advice guys! I like to know in advance what I'm going to be up against and this sounds like what we in the NE call a 'canny job'. According to the history the front struts where replaced in 2005 so was hoping they'd be OK. Looking at doing some rebushing next though but, blimey where to start ...

To provide an update and hopefully a final note to this issue I had the guy that looks after my paintwork clean up and rebond the quarterlight glass to the frame. It's neat job and up to now (fingers crossed) - problem solved for £30.

Yep! Tried that but no response from them and they're no longer on ebay - I hoped someone on the Forum might know if the polarity is significant or not :|

I bought an occupancy sensor bypass unit from ebay on the understanding the wiring of the new bypass unit matched the colours of the existing sensor pad. The bypass has one white and one blue wire whilst the underseat wiring is light blue and green :? Have we an electrical guru that can explain whic...

Quarter light loose from frame

Thanks for the suggestions so far. The ebay route looks encouraging but I wonder if rebonding is viable and would avoid stripping off the door card then setting it all up again. I may try Quarrry Motors (www.qarrymotors.co.uk), they've a good reputation for new and used spares. Still, it's reassurin...

Quarterlight loose from frame.

Hi all, I've just bought my first Z3 a Montreal Blue 1.9 on 26-02-2011 and joined ZRoadster.net immediatlely. Although delighted with it in the last week I've notice a problem I can't seem to find in the Forum. I've noticed that the passenger-side quarterlight glass has come away from the frame that...
