Re: It's official - Z3M For Sale (1999 S50 Estoril Blue)

The car is now sold! Bit less than I'd have liked but still happy with the price... And with tax, MOT and insurance due in the next few months a few hundred lost isn't the end of the world. It's been real fun and I'll say again what a great community this forum is, good knowledge and everyone being ...

It's official - Z3M For Sale (1999 S50 Estoril Blue)

I know my time with the car has been sadly brief, it's now definately time for the M to move onto a new owner as we're expecting our first child in June, so now the focus is on cots, "travel systems", ISOFIX etc... With this and work commitments, I'm basically never using the car, so it se...

I think the "facelift" (hood lining, central locking fuel cap etc...) all helped with the refinement and build of the car, so the later S50's had this as well as the S54's. The DSC is potentially a large plus point if that's your thang, as it's only ABS on the S50 which is always prudent t...

I just can't be bothered with selling privatley when you get so many people either not turning up, or wasting time when they come and expect to haggle massivly, it's just a waste of time, and I would prefer a nice easy sale, which I will end up paying for by such a low trade in price. The only odd one on all BMW's is a 7mm hex socket... 90% of all socket sets seem to come with 6mm and 8mm so can be a PITA to find a 7mm in a hurry ;)

I'm sure the guides mention this but worth stressing IME.

Did the engine turn over? Or just click? Or nothing at all? If all the lights on the dash dimmed and nothing happened then likely to be the battery just not having enough amps. Interesting about the rack... Good to know. Well, 3rd is good for 90mph and there's not many a road tyre that can get round paddock quicker than that I'd think... It's more that the Z3M is sooo long geared, as "most" cars 3rd is only good for 70mph(ish) so really does make a difference. Bu...
