Re: Gasket gone?
Thanks for the new replies guys. To answer an earlier post, the garage did all proper tests to diagnose the problem. Theyre a great lot and are not adverse to accepting folding vouchers at a lower price! But the whole thing has left me wishing that I'd kept my TVR Chimaera which never went wrong! So...

Re: Gasket gone?
Well guys, after working like a slave for the summer I've finally got the cash spare for the fix! The heads going off tomorrow to be mended with a skim and re-fit of everything. As I've been in contact with the guys at Qualitycylinderheads.co.uk over the summer not only have they knocked off the VAT...

Sorry its been a while for my reply but work kills what little spare time I seem to get. Anyway, the garage picked the car up on Weds of last week. They started it first time with no problem. It was a very rough idle sounding quite like a two stroke moped instead of a silky straight six! After looki...

Gasket gone?
Today i had a horrid shock. When i started my 2001 Z3 3.0 all i saw was white smoke. Has my head gasket blown? The heater has been working fine, there has been no rough running and it has always started fine. Theres been a little mayo under the filler cap but i believe this to be common on cars only...

Wobble and tyre wear
Well guys and girl I need help. A while ago i was sideswiped by a fast moving VW Polo and although the body damage was limited to a pushed in rear arch, it seems to have left me with a problem. The car wobbles violently through the steering wheel at all speeds and the drivers front tyre seems to be ...

Ive been thinking more about this and remembered a mod i did to my old Honda CRX.I installed the ubiquitous 57i but cot a hole in the front bumper to feed air directly to the filter.I angled a piece of pipe upwards to stop any rain being sucked in and surrounded the hole with a chrome ring.Looked fi...

Now that my foot has een surgicaloy removed from my molars, i have a question. Well a comment/thought. Instead of installing all this pipe, which is an exceloent idea and installation, would it be possible to house a cone in this space piped up to the maf? Its well away from any heat source, its eas...

Thanks for the replies guys esp for the offer of the photo mockup. I do like the M style box and thats prob the easiest option. That system must bolt straight on and just needs a new rear valance (if they're the same fitment on the facelift model). I think it would give it a classic British sports l...

Centre exit exhaust
Ive been thinking about trying different exhaust systems from the standard ss replacement to a beautiful twin in twin out system. But ive decided that a centre exiting, twin outlet system would loom great.Or a central oval/rhomboid shape. Has anyone ever tried this and does anyone have any thoughts o...
