Moomah, I did nothing to the car prior to the C T. I just turned up with original oem headlights and anti-dazzle stickers on. Only issue with the lights, and only verbally mentioned, was that the fog lights were a bit high. A couple other advisories (corroded handbrake cables and tank straps), but ...

Are yours projector or flat beam headlights Boosh? If we can get it through a CT Bingo, did you make any alterations at all to get it through?

Cheers All, and yes the little stickers are not accepted if registering it for french plates. We have already registered our landrover and Harley without problems, with just an advisory on our brakes for the LR. Simples

It didnt go to court in the end, we are advised by solicitors that it was no guarantee that we would get our money back even if the Court instructed them to.... :evil: The police were involved and the car was cloned with another in London. London Met tried to contact the other owner without success ...

Update My partner spke to both traders today. After a long discussion where they are adament the car is not stolen, they have agreed that if we do investigate further and it proves to be stolen afterall they will refund, but if it just proves there is something illegal with it, they won't My partner...

The HPI came up clear as such. It recorded the changes in number plates (mainly private ones) and the fact it was stolen, but no damage and nothing recorded as being changed at all It was only detective work by ourselves and BMW. Not a nice feeling. At least its a trader and she was as shocked as us...
