Re: Fan confusion
Sorry for jumping on this but I'm a tad confused. I've got a 2.8 zed and the viscous fan is turning as soon as I start the engine. Is this right? I was under the impression it was supposed to be static initially until the fluid in the viscous heated up and then engaged the fan??? I suppose that at l...

Re: Wheel Speed/ABS sensor
I had a similar experience. I got mine fault coded and it told me it was the rear speed/abs sensors. I took them out and cleaned them but in the end had to replace both rear sensors. The lights then went out within a matter of meters! The Z3 sesnsors are quite expensive. I managed to track some down...

Re: Whining sound - tube elbow was the culprit
Just out of interest kornknarr did you have the emissions warning light come on as well? The only reason I ask as I had the light come on on my one and it was suggested by others on the forum to check the hoses. Suprise suprise, mine appears to have split at the Y piece as well! :head: I think it's ...

Re: Engine warning light!
Thanks zed carer! Changed the oil and had a good look around the engine whilst waiting for the 6 odd litres of oil to drain and found a big hole in the Y duct (rubber hose) between the throttle assembly and the mass airflow sensor. Hopefully it'll be a case of replace the hose (got a feeling it'll b...

Quite a disturbing post. Think I'll be having a good look at mine over the weekend. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on this topic and will be interested to see what BMW have to say about what is definately an inherrent design fault!!!!

I am not sure the best way to get around this problem, so thought I'd put it to the wider audience. Ok. The car is a Z3 roadster. The problem is the drivers window switch getting stuck down.
