Hi,
Possibly due to the heat, my gearknob has come apart on my 2000 1.9 Z3. I am after a replacement one if anyone has one for sale? I have seen the replica ones on Ebay, but not sure how decent they are?
Thanks

spark plugs for a 1.9 Z3
Hi all,
I have a 2001 Z3, 1.9.
I will be changing the spark plugs this week, and would like a recommendation on the best spark plug to use for the car.
Also, is there a recommended tool to remove the old spark plugs (14mm spark plug tool)
Many thanks

Re: Hardtops
Best bet is to wait until winter when the price of them rise.
If selling now, between £400 and £600 with the fitting kit.

New alloys
Hi All,
Need a set of new tyres and as my alloys are kerbed etc and need a refurb, have decided to get a new set of alloys also.
Ideally, I want a set of 18 inch alloys. Would these fit without any mods, or shall I play safe and get some 17's?

Re: Z3steam from water tank
Hi,
Got the RAC out who immediately noticed a leak in the radiator. Water was dripping out hitting the hot engine and hence the steam. Going in for a full service this week, so will get the Head Checked at the same time for piece of mind.
Thanks all

Sills rusting on my Z :(
Hi Folks, Following a detailed clean of my Z3 over the weekend, I noticed that the sills on all 4 corners are starting to show signs of rust. I want to sort this out ASAP. Would it be better to replace all the sills and get them sprayed or to get a decent bodyshop or someone like chipsaway to treat ...

Re: Very shaky steering
Hi guys,
Many thaks for all your comments. The vibration has not occurred since and I even took it up to over 100mph (on a private road) and have been braking sharply etc and nothing totally fine.
Car is booked in on Wednesday, so will reply with a diagnosis.
Thanks

Very shaky steering
Hi all, Was driving my Z3 earlier and was doing about 70mph when the steering wheel started shaking really violently, so much so it became uncontrollable. Thinking I had a puncture, I pulled over and the tyres were fine. Jumped back in the car, carried on driving at it has been fine since. (No shaky...

Seat Belt Guide - Disconnecting the electrics
Hi, Right had a quick look at removing my seat as I am planning to do my seat belt guide over the bank holiday. Had a look at the writeup on the forum on how to do it, but it does not state about disconnecting the electric connectors from the seat without breaking them. Is there any easy way to do t...

Re: z3 proud new owner
Had my Z for just over a year now and I love it.
A few things that I would check is that there is no water in the petrol cap bay. Mine was flooded as the plug was blocked. Also, I had water in the area where the battery was, so just check that area also.
Regards

Had a new rear window around 3 weeks ago for my Z3. Never got a genuine one. Had a company take my old one out and restitch a new one onto my existing zip and put back in. All well During the recent fine weather we had last week. I took my hood down once, ensuring that my rear window was flat and ha...

New Z3 Owner. Couple of issues
Hi all, Have joined the BMW Z3 club after purchasing a 1.9 2000 Z3 in Topaz blue with 49K. I have owned the car for 6 weeks now and just took it on a 300 mile ride. Am loving the car except having a few issues: The gear change is not as smooth as it should be. It feels kind of stiff and notchy. Is t...
