Have you tried the reset First open the window fully, then hold the up button and continue to hold it for 10 seconds after it reaches the top, then lower it and hold the button for 10 seconds afterwards, then repeat the up, holding once more . electric window problem
Electric window goes down on its own with a flick of the switch but i need to hold the button in for it to go up drivers side only.

If you want to find out all the info about your specific car as it came off the production line try this. You need the last 7 digits from the vin number and hey presto http://www.bmwarchiv.de/vin/bmw-vin-decoder.html Just used it for both the Alpina and the M and it gave me things I didn't realise ...

There is a good breathable 100% waterproof cover perfect for the ice cold weather on ebay for the z3 at the moment compaqkidd is the seller. i have one and it fits the bill.
